The Sr. Associate Credit/Collection Analyst will work all facets of pharmacy accounts receivable including collection of assigned accounts, claim submission, denial and credit balance management. This role will also guide a team of A/R Specialists responsible for analysis and collection of outstanding receivables in accordance with department collection metrics and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high volume collections and follow-up activity; analyze and resolve issues to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
  • Identify key stakeholders or primary contacts within payer communities to drive effective collections.
  • Collaborate with team of AR Specialists optimizing collections and minimize aging of receivables.
  • Respond to internal and external queries and manage 1st level escalations.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage outstanding refund requests and overpayments to support contract and legal adherence with all payers including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Investigate collection issues and provide representation when needed of the Accounts Receivable area to internal departments.
  • Prepare and present recommendations for issue resolution based on best practices and expertise; lead implementation of solution and provide timely notification on potential issues of delinquency.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects.
  • Train new hires and encourage excellent A/R follow up skills and work ethic.

Position Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three (3) years high volume pharmacy AR/collection and medical benefit drug billing; experience in a senior role preferred.
  • Strong experience analyzing EOBs and remittance advice and performing detailed research of claims and outstanding balances.
  • Extensive experience utilizing payer portals and claim management software
  • Ability to identify root cause and resolve trends and issues with minimal supervision.
  • Autonomous, proactive and requires very minimal supervision.
  • Target oriented and AR resolution mind set.
  • Strong analytical background
  • Able to juggle multiple responsibilities at one time.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Sharepoint), Smartsheet

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$23.06 - $38.43
